Dashboards are a UI bug. The product is a chat window over the data warehouse that answers questions in plain English and draws the chart only when asked.
Why now
Snowflake, BigQuery, and Postgres now expose enough metadata for an agent to write correct SQL against them. Text-to-SQL crossed the 90% accuracy bar on real schemas in 2025. The remaining work is the operator-facing surface, chat, with a chart as a side effect.
The idea you could build today
Connect to one warehouse. Ingest schema + foreign keys + a 100-row sample. Operator asks a question. Agent generates SQL, runs it, returns three sentences of interpretation plus an optional chart. Save the chat thread, that's the new dashboard.
