Browser-use agents: the buildable opportunity behind the headless wave
Browser-use is to agents what Stripe was to payments, invisible plumbing, but the only way the agent gets work done. The buildable opportunity is the managed runtime, not the framework.
Why now
Anthropic shipped computer-use in 2024. Browser-use frameworks (Playwright-wrapping, DOM-aware) exploded in 2025. Every agent product needs a way to run a real browser session, capture state, recover from crashes. Nobody's ahead on the managed-runtime side.
The idea you could build today
A Firecracker-or-equivalent microVM that boots a real Chrome instance in <500ms, exposes WebDriver + screenshot streaming over HTTP, charges per session-minute. Throw in a recording / replay layer so the operator can audit what the agent saw.
